Holiday Programs, 9 to17 years
During school holidays, a 3-hour holiday program is offered. Sessions can be attended as a one-off, or on multiple days by booking each day as desired.
Half-day programs run from 2:00pm – 5:00pm, and are suitable for anyone aged 9-17 that would like to spend some hands-on time getting to better know horses. All experience levels are catered for, from those who have never ridden, through to experienced riders.
All participants will be riding each day. Ridden activities will depend on the rider’s ability and experience level (ie walk/trot/canter/jumping).
Programs include horse management, grooming, and tacking, as well as ridden instruction and trail riding. We also cover an array of other more in-depth topics to suit the age, experience and rider level; topics may include safe handling and tying techniques, equine first aid, dentistry and farriery; feeding, lungeing, bareback riding, cross country riding, and all aspects of competition preparation (plaiting, washing, bandaging, transporting).
Holiday programs are $195 per session. Payment is due to book each session and bookings are non-refundable, so please choose your dates carefully. Bookings are all online.
All participants’ parents/guardians must have signed a waiver before any horse handling commences.
On the day, participants should arrive at 2:00 pm (please do not enter the property before our staff are on site to greet you), and should wear long pants and clothing suitable to the weather. In the event of rain, bring your raincoats! We have spare boots and helmets that can be borrowed for the day at no additional cost.
Please note we ride in the sun, in the rain, in the wind, in the heat, and in the cold. If you don’t like weather, please consider finding somewhere else to go horse riding.
We Love The Outdoors! We do not refund due to unfavourable weather conditions!
